Biography

Carlos studies critical and parcitipatory approaches to rhetorical theory and advocacy that takes place within vernacular communities. His research interests include public sphere / counterpublic sphere theory, digital rhetorics, and critical approaches to civil discourse. He has a B.A. and M.A. in communication studies, both from California State University Northridge. 

Research Interests

Public sphere theory, critical participatory rhetoric, the rhetoric of public memory, civic engagement, and digital media studies.
