Come and share your vision. Democracy is a conversation, not a monologue.
Every January, the president delivers a State of the Union address highlighting important issues from the past year and suggesting priorities for the coming year.
The People’s State of the Union supplements the president’s stories with our own, gathered from story circles in homes, schools, houses of worship and community organizations across the U.S., between Jan. 23–31, 2016.
The People’s State of the Union is conceived and coordinated by the U.S. Department of Arts and Culture, an act of collective imagination (not a government agency).
