Rebranding terror: Al-Qaeda's strategic communication after Bin Laden

This event celebrated the inauguration of the Center for Strategic Communication with a lecture by international terrorism expert Dr. Jarret Brachman.

Dr. Jarrett Brackman is an internationally recognized specialist on counterterrorism and violent extremist movements. He began his career as a Fellow at the Central Intelligence Agency's Counterterrorist Center. He went on to become the founding Director of Research at West Point's Combating Terrorism Center. In that position, Brachman oversaw numerous research projects on Al-Qaida propaganda, strategy and senior leadership. In 2008, Brachman published his first book, Global Jihadism: Theory and Practice with Routledge Press.

Brachman currently leads a security consulting firm, Cronus Global. He advises a variety of clients on issues related to both Al-Qaida and Sovereign Movement extremist violence. These include agencies across the United States intelligence community, federal, state and local law enforcement, the private sector, and a host of other public and private sector partners around the world.
